Rigo Mendez was born in Denver, CO, but was raised in El Paso, Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ashford University; currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling. He has been an elementary teacher for 10 years and now works for Rocky Mountain Human Services (CCB) as a Service Coordinator. Rigo has extensive experience serving in non-profits where he has served as District Youth President for Messengers of Peace, Missionary work in the Orphanage and Elderly Asylum in Juarez, Mexico, Youth Pastor, and continues to be an active member of the Ministry at the Potters House of Denver. Furthermore, he was part of raising his brother, who was born with Down syndrome, and now plays an integral part of his life.
